PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND FEATURES

The Viking inspired Leaf of Hearts was designed in the 1940s by Mr Germund Paaer, the first Head of Design at Kalevala Jewelry. In the 1990s, a smaller version of the design was made, which now returns to the collection in a limited edition after a 20-year hiatus. The reverse side of the earrings is unpatterned. Open hooks.

The Leaf of Hearts is only available in the Kalevala online store and Kalevala stores in Helsinki during the Season Sale period until April 8, 2024.

JEWELRY STORY

In the 1940s Mr. Germund Paaer, the first Head of Design at Kalevala Jewelry, created a collection of jewelry which was an artistic combination of the most beautiful ornaments and intriguing details of ancient jewelry. Many of the items became beloved classics that were manufactured for decades. The Leaf of Hearts, Viking Age in spirit with its tinkling charms, was among the designs. In the spring of 2024, the Leaf of Hearts makes a comeback after 20 years of absence. Made in limited edition, the Leaf of Hearts is available as earrings and a pendant, in bronze and silver.

Care instructions for silver jewelry

Kalevala silver jewelry is handcrafted in Finland from sterling silver. More than 99% of the silver we use is recycled.

Over time, all silver jewelry darkens. Darkening can be prevented by regular cleaning and proper storage of the jewelry. Dark spots can be removed with a Kalevala cleaning cloth. After cleaning, it is a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water so that the cleaning agent does not stain the clothes. The cleaning cloth is not suitable for cleaning stones set in silver jewelry.

It is good to keep the jewelry in its original packaging. Additional protection for jewelry without
against the darkening effect of impurities is provided by a tight plastic bag.
